How Does Shockwave work?

Shockwave enhances sexual performance and reverses the effects of Erectile Dysfunction due to poor blood flow.

Treatment differs from other procedures for many reasons including, it is completely non-invasive, drug and surgery-free.

The sessions treat the root cause of improving blood flow, providing long-lasting patient results.

The pulsating waves of Shockwave improve blood flow to the penis by dissolving plaque build-up and stimulating the growth of new blood vessels.

The improvement results in stronger, harder, and more sustainable erections.

The pulsating waves also trigger a healing response that “wakes-up” dormant stem cells and growth factors in the penis for an overall rejuvenation of male erectile tissue.

With this alternative ED treatment, there are no expensive prescriptions to remember to take or refill, and no penile implants or surgery.

There are none of the harmful side effects with this ED treatment as with oral drugs.

Shockwave therapy is effective and safe for men who cannot take oral ED medications, such as those with heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure.

Shockwave can be used to treat Peyronie’s Disease, which the Blue Pill and other oral ED drugs cannot.

The improvement in erectile function and overall sexual performance after treatment for men has been incredible.

Erectile Dysfunction:
The staggering statistic that was uncovered by the John Hopkins study revealed that over eighteen million men in the US over the age of 20 suffer from Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

Even though so many men suffer from ED, it is still an unfortunate fact that most men are reluctant to talk about or discuss ED with their partners due to the unfortunate stigma associated.

Erectile Dysfunction (also known as ED) is also known as impotence. It is defined as a persistent difficulty in achieving and maintaining an erection firm enough and long enough that will be sufficient to have sexual intercourse.

There are many causes of impotence: medical and physical and psychological.

Physical causes of erectile dysfunction

Poor Circulation – Most often, age is a predominant factor in erectile dysfunction;  Men over the age of 40 typically experience ED as the result of inadequate blood flow to the penis, mostly due to the natural narrowing of blood vessels, however, your chronological age is not solely responsible for ED’s development.

Plaque and damaged vessels can restrict circulation enough to disrupt function. usually symptoms begin with difficulty in obtaining an erection before progressing to a complete incapacity to maintain an erection.

Other Common Physical Causes Include:
High cholesterol – Causes damage to all blood vessel linings in all parts of the body, including the penis. This causes a restricted blood flow that can prevent erectile tissue from filling with blood.

Obesity – Damages blood vessels, decreasing testosterone and causing a state of general inflammation in the body. Men affected by obesity probably have elevated cholesterol hypertension and blood pressure, all of which contribute to erectile dysfunction.

Sleep disorders like sleep apnea – Sleep deprivation caused by sleep apnea may cause testosterone levels to dip and also restrict oxygen. Testosterone and oxygen are both impact healthy erections. It may also be that stress and fatigue related to a lack of sleep that makes sexual problems worse.

High blood pressure – Blood pressure can damage your arteries by causing them to become thicker, or even to burst. This can restrict blood flow to your penis, which may then cause erectile dysfunction. Also, some blood pressure medicines could also cause erectile dysfunction.

Diabetes – Poor long-term blood sugar control can cause damage to nerves and blood vessels.

Heart disease – There is a very strong link between erectile dysfunction and heart disease. Several studies have shown that if a man has ED, he has a greater risk of having heart disease.

Poor Dental Health – Men with severe periodontal disease have been reported to have consistent problems maintaining an erection three times more likely. This is probably a correlation in that poor dental health has for quite some time been associated with vascular disease.

Alcoholism and other forms of substance abuse – Especially if you’re a long term drug user or a heavy drinker

Tobacco use – which restricts blood flow to veins and arteries, might over time cause chronic health conditions that lead to erectile dysfunction. Fortunately, quitting smoking has shown to relieve much of the ED risks associated with the habit.

Treatments for prostate cancer or enlarged prostate

Surgeries or injuries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord

Peyronie’s disease — development of scar tissue inside the penis, called plaque. It can result in a bent, rather than straight, erect penis. Most men with Peyronie’s disease can still have sex. But for some, it can be painful and cause erectile dysfunction

Parkinson’s disease – Medication side effects, progressing disease and non-motor symptoms such as anxiety cause ED.

Multiple sclerosis – Neurological dysfunction, psychological factors, side effects of medication or generalized MS symptoms, such as fatigue or micturition problems, usually in combination can cause ED.

Radiation treatment for cancer – Radiation aimed at the pelvis can cause erectile dysfunction, though it isn’t clear why. Radiation may damage nerves in your pelvic area, block blood flow to your penis or decrease the level of testosterone in your body. Radiation’s side effects start slowly about six months to a year after treatment.

Metabolic syndrome – This is a cluster of conditions that occur together: involving increased blood pressure, high insulin levels, body fat around the waist and high cholesterol or triglyceride levels

Clogged blood vessels (atherosclerosis) – If you have ED, it could be a sign that your arteries are clogged. It’s all about blood flow.

Injuries – particularly if they damage the nerves or arteries that control erections

“Ditching “the pill” was the most liberating part of my experience. Not only do I not need to take any pills for an erection, but I also have a more spontaneous, stronger erection which translates to more fun and pleasure if you know what I mean.”
